new... MultiCart Video Production Cart with top shelf, only $350
After years of waiting, the MultiCart Video Production location cart is back. New and improved, now with 4 large pneumatic (rough terrain) tires and a dual-length removable top shelf! As far as we are concerned, these are the best buy in a versatile, location cart for film, video, and audio production. Frame telescopes 34"-52" in length. Pack it short for transit in a the trunk of a compact car or give it to the Skycap (along with a $$$ tip) to travel with your baggage as a "baggage cart". Load capacity: 500 lbs./32 cu. ft. Weight: 36 lbs. Carries a lot, but weighs very little compared to other handtruck carts. 32" foldable sides to stack loads high. After you arrive at your location, extend the frame to full length and pack it high with equipment cases. Unload, and then set up your top shelf either full length or compact, depending on how much room you have in the set. Two 10"x 3.0" pneumatic front wheels, and two 8"x 2.50" pneumatic swivel caster rear wheels. Our older Multicarts only had two 5-inch plastic castered rear wheels, which were fine on flat surfaces but difficult over cables, bumps, and rough terrain. The new carts, with 4 substantial tires, roll easily over basic obstacles. Frames transforms into multiple configurations. You can really
get creative with your hauling: short frame, long frame; one side handle up, two
sides up, no sides up, etc. We've loaded an entire tradeshow booth
including tables & merchandise onto our cart and rolled it into the hall (some
convention center tradeshow Nazi's allow you one
do-it-yourself-load before extorting "union labor fees"). Removable Shelf Kit. We include one shelf kit with the Production
Cart. A second kit can be added as a mid-level shelf (for $99). Easy to customize. We are exploring the idea of adding metal or plastic pans to provide a larger worksurface than the standard 18-inch wide shelves. We'll keep you informed of what we come up with! Add some velcro ties and S-hooks to hold cables, headphones, etc. Fred velcro'd an army surplus tubular (ordinance) case to the side handle for holstering a mic boompole. We also had a case maker sew up a custom "apron" that attaches to one end of the cart and can support 4 boompoles.
