Monthly Meetings of San Fernando Valley Video Users Groups
for Casablanca and AVID Liquid
Casablanca Users Group
Videographers are welcome to join us and attend the monthly
gathering of the San Fernando Valley Users Group. The Group was formed a few
years ago by local Casablanca (non-linear video editing system) owners as a
forum to exchange tips & tricks related to the equipment, and videography in
general.
After we became established as a Casablanca/AVIO/KRON/Prestige dealer, we
extended an invitation to the group to hold their meetings at our facility,
since we could offer more space & better parking than a residence.
Topics range from Casablanca editing pointers to general
field production. Guest speakers have included reps from SmartSound and NRG.
Group members include wedding/event videographers, corporate
producers, independent filmmakers, and students.
It is a great opportunity to learn about the Casablanca
products, since you get to talk and learn from experienced users!
Meetings are usually held on the third Wed or Thurs evening of each month at
7:30 pm here at Equipment Emporium. Everyone is invited; but call us to verify
dates & times.
AVID Liquid Users Group of San Fernando Valley, California
We are forming a local AVID LIQUID Users Group for folks in the San Fernando Valley area
of Los Angeles (including Mission Hills, Van Nuys, North Hollywood, Northridge,
Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Encino, Burbank, Sylmar,
etc.) If you can find where the 405 freeway intersects the 118 freeway -- that's
where we are!
We know that a lot of new Liquid users feel intimidated to sit in on meetings
populated by Hollywood's most advanced AVID users, but initially, our Users Group
will focus on the Liquid software editing platform, and will be geared more for
the smaller independent editor. Later on, if the group desires, we can branch
off into advanced issues.
Our Users Group welcomes Event & Wedding Videographers, students, faculty,
corporate or small production companies, government/law enforcement, and independent filmmakers.
In other words, anybody with an interest in AVID Liquid!
