Complete editing solutions for AVID and AVID Liquid video editingEquipment Emporium Inc now offers a new concept in professional non-linear video editing... Visit our new editing site, www.VideoEditSystems.com for the latest information. The new VES/Delta series of PC based editing solutions designed specifically to support the three leading, professional software platforms: AVID Express, AVID Media Composer, and AVID Liquid (aka Pinnacle). We use the term "solutions" because all three sides of the triangle will be addressed: hardware, software, support. Recently, Fred Ginsburg was offered a special Academic price on AVID Media Composer (since he is an Adjunct Professor at a major university). Why stick with AVID and Pinnacle? Well, the fact remains that the software of choice by the major studios is AVID. That is what the big players use, and that is what the universities have to include in their programs! And more and more television broadcasters are discovering the advantages of AVID Liquid (Pinnacle), especially for multi-user networked and shared applications. Well, the price was terrific, but when Fred tried to find a suitable workstation to support the software, he discovered that it wasn't all that simple. The major computer resellers offered all kinds of systems, and asked all too many questions about how the computer should be configured. And, none of the salespeople at these popular computer suppliers were familiar with AVID's specific demands on a system! It was a nightmare. So where does Equipment Emporium fit into all of this? Solving the problem! Let's keep video editing in the control of artists rather than engineers. We have developed a new series of PC-based turn-key workstations and laptops that are being designed for just one purpose in life -- running AVID and AVID Liquid (Pinnacle) as efficiently as possible within an affordable budget for the basic end-user. We're realistically talking about students, faculty, corporate & event videographers, independent filmmakers, and other professionals who recognize the need for serious editing but may not have access to an in-house engineer! Our computer is being designed with high performance, rugged, and easily maintainable components. Quad core processing, of course. A carefully engineered graphics card tested for AVID as well as Pinnacle platforms (in case you ever need to swtich). Four drives, so as to keep the Windows operating system and applications separate from the projects and media. Oh, did we forget to mention "bulletproof"? The drive most likely to become corrupted by the end-user is the main drive with the Windows stuff. Should that happen, you will be able to instantly clean & restore the drive and continue editing, thanks to our patented and exclusive "RED Disk" recovery kit that restores your computer to its "perfect state". It also means that you will not have to download nor install software updates and struggle to reconfigure your system to accept the new "improvements". Just pop in your (updated) RED Disk and everything is taken care of for you! To maximize support, all of the Equipment Emporium/Delta series computers are basically the same. So when you call someone for help (whether it be a peer user or Tech Support), all of us are using the same hardware and components. No more asking 20 questions to try and deduce what your computer has or hasn't got in it, compared to ours. All of the systems will be supplied with user friendly documentation, so you don't have to be a geek to figure it all out. Bottom line. To move up to AVID or Pinnacle, you no longer have to figure out what needs to be in your machine. We have already done that for you. When you get your machine, the software of your choice will already be installed and running. Professional as well as Academic versions of the software will be available. Support is just a phone call away. In addition, there will be an organized Users network, blog, and website. We will also be providing Training Classes. It's going to be an exciting year! Stay tuned. |
